Need courage to leave boyfriend.

Hey gals, I have been with my bf for 4+ years. He is so wrong for me. He puts me last, never talks about a future, he never treats me like a girlfriend. Why can't I stay away? Why can't I leave him? Every time I try to leave him - it lasts like 2 days and I beg for him to take me back and feel so pathetic. Anyone have advice on how to leave? - lola

Oh how this sounds familiar. But is so simple to turn around. The bottom line here is that your boyfriend treats you as badly as you allow. If he puts you last, that means that you're still in line. If he never treats you like a girlfriend - chances are that you aren't his girlfriend.

You have to finally make the decision that YOU are better than this. That he is not your last chance. That there are other men out there. Better men. Worthy men. You have to decide that it is not the end of the world if things change. This dysfunction is what you are use to. But that doesn't mean that your world can't change this minute. This second. And be better than it ever was.

This relationship is dead. He doesn't sound present in it at all. So you need to put a plan in place for all the things you are going to do, people you are going to hang out. places you are going to visit, old friends you are going to catch up with once you end it. You will need to keep busy - that is the key. But once you have your support system in place (activities and friends/family) you will be able to get past the rough months ahead.

Holidays will be difficult. Songs you hear will make you cry. But you can do it. Just leave the phone alone...

I know the feeling and cant help much. I'm in the same situation as you are. It would have been great if we were next door neighbours!!!
