ARE HOUSEMATES A NO-GO-ZONE??
I met this guy, Jason, through mutual friends about 2 years ago. Jasons a relatively shy guy when hes around people he doesnt know and hasnt really had a girlfriend.
We all hang out go out for dinners, parties etc and we always got along really well. When we were out I could usually get Jason to come dance with me, it'd normally take a bit of convincing but there was this one song that we always danced to. On a few occassions over the years Jason and I have kissed. I really started to like him and my friend told me he'd said he liked me too, but nothing ever came from it so i guess I kinda moved on.
Anyway, circumstances changed and now im living in a share house with him and a few mates. It was fine at first but now I think I like him again. Theres certain things that make me think maybe hes interested too. He always sticks up for me around his friends, he gets edgy when we are out if other guys are getting too friendly...but is that just him being protective?
Just the other day, he did something else which made me wonder... we were sitting around talking with a few friends and I was really bummed about something that happened at work. Jason started whistling the song (that we used to dance to), which put a big smile on my face. The others asked what song it was and he told them it was a personal favourite. Later on he told me that it was for me and and that he would do anything to see me smile.
One of my friends told me that since were housemates its a definite no-go zone, even if it turns out he liked me back, while others are saying I should go for it...but how can I tell if hes interested in the first place?
i'm sure im probably just a classic case for 'hes just not that into you' but i thought i'd get some opinions before i rule this one out.
any advice, thoughts or help??

(Remember he’s a shy one, so sometimes us shy guy’s aren’t going to say anything unless were comfortable with the people were attracted to.)

Here’s my advice… Go after him…. Please…. He makes you feel good. And of what you wrote… Those are the sings right there. We shy guys don’t express those things very well sometimes… Well give hints, but that’s about it. I say fuck the no-go zone, and have fun….
